Healthy Houston is a 501(c)(3) organization located in Houston, Texas. Led by our board of directors, we are proud of our mission and vision for a healthier Houston.
Our goal: As a charitable foundation, to improve access to health care for underserved people, enhancing the physical, mental, educational, and artistic health of the community overall
Our strategy: To support nonprofit, community-based clinics that offer health care to low-income, medically underserved patients on a sliding fee scale
What we do:
- Offer grants and loans to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) that are operational, under development, or being planned
- Give clinics the tools to apply for grants and loans
- Help members of the underserved community locate accessible FQHCs across the city
